Recipe: Cranberries with Orange, Rosemary and Cloves
The addition of the rosemary sprig during the boiling process adds a unique, savory twist on this traditional Thanksgiving/Christmas accoutrement.
Supplies/utensils needed for this recipe:
Medium saucepan
Ingredients:
Makes 8-10 servings
1 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar
12 oz. package fresh or frozen whole cranberries
1 sprig fresh rosemary
1 cinnamon stick
Method:
In a medium saucepan, combine orange juice and sugar. Bring to a boil.
Add cranberries and return to a boil.
Reduce heat and add 1 sprig of fresh rosemary, plus cinnamon stick.
Boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Remove rosemary sprig, but leave the cinnamon stick in sauce until you’re ready to serve.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
