Beer, sunburns & celebrations...Queens style

Calling all boyfriends! If you didn't know this already, when your girl's birthday approaches, be ready for a week-long celebration...Suck it up, smile and deal with it! Last weekend, we went to dinner for Em's big day, and this weekend, we made the trek out to Astoria, Queens and celebrated with one-too many pitchers of Hoegaarden and Stella at the Bohemian Beer Garden.

Astoria is world-renowned for its authentic Greek cuisine and my old hair stylist, but it's also recognized for having one of the most unique outdoor venues in the five-boroughs. You may not look twice as you walk by this spot, as this hidden (well, not really) gem is located on a residential side street, just a couple of blocks from the N,R,W train stop at Astoria Blvd. Walk through its door, make your way through the bar, then hang a left and you're outside in a garden the size of a baseball field! Picnic tables, a band shell and greenery abound at this fantastic open space. Order a pitcher of imported beer, grab a seat one of many communal tables and start chuggin' your afternoon away!

Until we eat again,

Lindsay, The Lunch Belle
